Heidiland briefly reopened for the holidays, so we ended up visiting after all! I didn’t pay to enter the houses, but enjoyed walking the grounds and enjoying the spline scenery. Vaduz and Rapperswil were also lovely, with those stops were 1-1.5 hours for free time. Lunch is recommended for Rapperswil, but you can choose to eat later in Vaduz if you prefer - just decide based on when you’re hungry!”

“It was our most expensive excursion, but it included multiple modes of transportation. I believe the cost was fair. The views from Mount Pilatus were breathtaking. It was fun to see the cows on our descent. Our tour guide was impressive speaking multiple languages. I would have appreciated suggestions/information about the hikes at the top. My elderly parents travelled with us. One had a little difficulty with the long walk to/from the Chapel Bridge, and to/from the bus, in Lucerne, but the various modes of transportation were a good way for them to experience Mount Pilatus. “The tour guide Francesca was amazing, very knowledgeable - when we arrived at the Rhine waterfalls we were advised that due to pickpockets only to take what we absolutely needed to and to leave stuff on the bus. Foolishly I left my bag behind with some cash in it. I returned to find my bag opened and a 100 franc note missing. I advised the tour guide but there was no follow up and I could not prove it. So lesson learnt, do the tour but don’t leave anything behind anywhere, keep all stuff close by I take responsibility for being stipid and trusting - did ruin the experience for…”
